Success story personalised push-pull: no more hard labour

What started as an encounter during LogiMAT 2017, turned into a successful cooperation with a customised push-pull in the lead. Both the customer and CAM attachments look back with satisfaction: the request for a second model is currently ongoing.

From visit to order

"After our encounter at LogiMAT 2017, I visited our customer. Thanks to this visit I was able to assess the customer's needs even better. It's always good to see with your own eyes what the customer needs a solution for. The visit also gave me the opportunity to put my back into the project: I measured all specifications together with the customer, because every detail counts" says Sven Vanoverschelde, External Sales Advisor region Benelux, Germany, Austria and Switzerland. The personal approach paid off. At the beginning of 2018, a personal proposition and offer quickly followed. After the customer approved, the production process in our production plant in Italy started.

Meanwhile, the customised push-pull has been in use for quite some time. "The customer is very satisfied, it perfectly meets the set expectations. In the meantime, the attachment has been sent to the sister company in Hungary. They are very happy about the end result as well. The request for a second push-pull is already ongoing." says Sven.

Custom-made push-pull

The customer, who is active in the textile industry, works with special containers in which the rolls of fabric are stored. This meant we had to take into account the dimensions and shape of the specific containers. The solution is based on a push-pull where the forks perfectly fit in the pockets and are equipped with a mechanical system that automatically retains the container onto the forks. In addition, the frame that pushes the rolls out of the container has also been completely customised in consultation with the customer. This way, the rolls of fabric are hydraulically pushed from the container into the truck. "The biggest advantage for this customer? The employees no longer have to manually push the rolls off of the container. That way, they are spared from this hard, physical task. The push-pull can perform this action quickly and easily." says Sven Vanoverschelde.
